X-Ray is available for patients onsite on level 1 for instant x-ray images of the limbs and chest which can be view by GP once x-rays have been taken. All x-ray’s are bulk billed with a valid medicare card.
All general x-ray, screening and OPG procedures are performed using the latest in digital technology. Films are processed with Computed Radiography systems eliminating environmentally unfriendly chemicals.
Other Services provided by the radiologist such as CT scan, biopsy, mammogram, barium enema, DEXA, Biopsy, Ultrasound, Nuchal Transluceny.
Ultrasound facility is now available for our patients at Blackown Family Medical Centre.

Dr Ghiyath Alsnih is a specialist advanced laparoscopic general surgeon, who has public practice at Blacktown and Mt Druitt Hospital and private practice at Norwest Private Hospital and Lakeview Private Hospital.
Dr Alsnih is also a lecturer in Surgery at the University of Western Sydney.
Dr Alsnih completed his general surgical training in NSW and is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS). Dr Alsnih is also GESA accredited for gastrointestinal endoscopy.
In addition to general surgery, he has vast experience in Head and Neck Surgery; his first fellowship obtained overseas in 2000.

Dr Shankarapani graduated from Bangalore Medical College (India) and moved to UK for further medical training. She later moved to Australia and completed my Fellowship training in Internal Medicine (FRACP). She is currently working as a staff specialist at Liverpool Hospital, within the departments of General medicine, Acute Care medicine and Ambulatory Care.
Her exposure to different health systems (India, UK and Australia) has given extensive experience in General Medicine.

Ljiljana is a Medicare registered provider and accredited to practice as a Mental Health Social Worker in private practice. Ljiljana has 12 years experience as a social worker with special interest in working with families experiencing relationship issues, mental health issues and parenting.

Katherine Baqleh (BAMedSci, MNutrDiet) is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD). She graduated from a Bachelor of Medical Science followed by a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney. Working with the doctors and allied health team at Blacktown Family Medical Centre, she strives to help individuals with improving and optimising their health through making dietary and lifestyle adjustments with the ultimate goal of long term good health. Many individuals find knowing what to eat difficult, however it does not have to be that way. Katherine is experienced in areas such as obesity, diabetes, cardiovacular health, poor growth, gastrointestinal disorders, PCOS, vitamin and mineral deficiencies and can help you to find a balance with eating well and still enjoying your favourite foods. She also speaks Arabic and has a particular keen interest in weight management, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
